Every time you load a prop market, PropDesk pulls real-time lines from up to 15+ U.S. sportsbooks simultaneously. This gives a true picture of where the market sits on every player, not just one book's opinion. We normalize all data so Over/Under lines and odds are directly comparable across every book.
We calculate the consensus line - the median value across all books - for each player and side. The median is more robust than an average because it ignores outliers from a single sharp book moving early or a book offering a promotional number. Any book offering a line significantly different from consensus represents a potential edge.
For each player we identify where the free points are. If five books have the Over at 25.5 but one offers it at 24.5, you are getting a full point of line value. When no line-shopping edge exists, we default to the side with the most favorable odds, minimizing the vig you pay.

When you click Analyze or Stats on a player, we pull live statistics from ESPN - season averages, playoff averages, and a game-by-game log for the last 10 games. We compare the player's season average and recent trend directly against the consensus prop line. Recent form is weighted because a player going Over in 4 of 5 recent games is a different situation than their season average suggests.
The parlay builder ranks every player by Value Score and selects the top legs. If you set a target odds number, it searches all possible combinations to find the one meeting or exceeding your target while keeping average value score as high as possible. Parlay odds are calculated mathematically by converting each leg to decimal odds, multiplying together, and converting back.
